Consultation for
Mental Health Professionals

Are you a mental health counselor trying to help your clients who have Autism Spectrum with co-occurring mental health needs?

Being a professional in the field of psychology for over 20 years and having two Master's Degrees, one in Applied Behavior Analysis and one in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling, it is very clear: our clients with Autism need neurodivergent-affirming care. This means using Autism-specific approaches and support in mental health treatment.

Working with people of all ages with Autism for over 20 years as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), I've seen the prevalence of Autism grow. With diagnostic criteria changes in the DSM-5 in 2013, there are now an estimated 5,437,988 adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder.*

Autism affects multiple areas of a person's life, including how they learn, communicate, socialize, self-calm, sleep, and experience their senses (e.g. sensitivity to light, sound, and touch). Knowing your client's specific needs and how to integrate them into your mental health treatment plan can provide better long-term outcomes for them.

Please contact me if you are interested in scheduling a professional consultation on Bridging the Gap: Autism Spectrum Support in Mental Health.

It's not as simple as you might think. There are multiple layers of providing mental health treatment to clients with Autism and I can offer help to you.

Price: Determined by level of consultation.
